How To Prevent Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of death here in the Philippines. People who smoke most especially those who live with a smoker are the most prone and has the greater risk of having a lung cancer at an early age. If not so they they can acquire this during their old age where their immune system is not that strong anymore.

Most of the people fail to realize that prevention is always better that cure in fact, people nowadays eat healthy foods and do all the exercise when they already have those diseases, but we should always consider that beforehand we should always take care of ourselves for us not to acquire such diseases.

There are so many things to consider if preventing lung cancer is concerned, but if we make it as a habit, later on we will be used to it.

Here are some of the things to do in order for everyone to prevent lung cancer acquisition.

First, don’t smoke. We all know that most of the people nowadays smoke most especially men. We should always remember it’s effect in our body and what damage can cause us if we smoke. If you don’t smoke never start because once it started it will be hard for you to quit. If you are a smoker already try to minimize your usage until you can finally quit.

Second, avoid second hand smoke. If you have a relative that lives within your house ask him if he could smoke outside your house for everyone to be save. If you care for your family you should consider this factor. Children will be the victim if someone smoke within your house. You should also avoid places such as bars because most of the people there smokes.

Third, eat a diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables. Choose a healthy diet with a variety of fruits and vegetables. Food sources of vitamins and nutrients are best. Avoid taking large doses of vitamins in pill form, as they may be harmful. For instance, researchers hoping to reduce the risk of lung cancer in heavy smokers gave them beta carotene supplements. Results showed the supplements actually increased the risk of cancer in smokers.

Fourth,exercise most days of the week. Exercise makes our immune system stronger for it to fight all the viruses and diseases that enters our body. If you don’t exercise start out at least once a week or twice, the most important thing is you start slowly until you make it as your routine.

Prevention is the most important thing to do so that we won’t regret in the future. We make our own destiny and we have the choices and it’s up to you if you want to invest for your health’s betterment or to ruin your life. Regret is always in the last. Make the most out of today and reap all that you invest in your health in the future.
